Way back in December, we introduced a feature that makes it easy to turn photos that you're tagged in into great profile pictures. First we introduced a link to "Make Profile Photo" link beneath photos in which you were tagged.

We then decided to really optimize for the case when you're in a photo with someone else. We added a photo-cropping interface that lets you select the portion of the photo you are in, and it is scaled perfectly to be the size of a profile picture.

This way, you get a well-sized, well-trimmed photo to show to all of your friends when they arrive on your profile.
