Connecting with Live Feed
As we look toward Election Day, talking politics with friends is becoming easier, livelier and more intense. I've found that the Live Feed section of my News Feed has become a flurry of activity around the Election. Everyone's got an opinion, a comment or an interesting update to pass along. We're sharing and responding to events as they happen. Whenever a candidate makes a strong point, a gaffe or a misleading statement, it evokes a stream of responses via the feed comment feature. Whether we're agreeing or trying to win an argument, it's great to be part of this online political discussion. Right now, the topics stirring up my feed include early voting, Saturday Night Live Election sketches and so much more.

In fact, Lexicon, our tool that tracks trends in what users are talking about on Facebook, shows that there are nearly ninety thousand mentions of Senator Obama on Facebook walls from this past Tuesday, 10/29, and over forty thousand mentions of Senator McCain in the same day.

Tom can't wait to see how feeds bring us together for other events like the World Cup and New Year's.
